Located near Portsmouth, England, this hotel has nine premium suites and was originally built and used as a sea fortress between 1867 and 1956, and as a museum between 1982 and 2009. Das Park Hotel has a more unusual construction and location being built of drain pipes and located in a park in Bottrop, Germany called Bernepark. The hotel has two types of rooms called “Cozy room” and “Sweet Dreams” and a “pay as you wish” system. Be aware that you have to use the bathroom in the nearest petrol stations and do not forget to pack your own toiletries.

Designed in the shape of a beagle, the Dog Bark Park Inn is a hotel located in Cottonwood, Idaho. Opened in 2003, the world’s biggest beagle hotel has a 12 ft height and 2 floors. The room is located on the second floor and accommodates up to four people including a queen bed and two twin beds.

Jumbo Stay Hotel, Arlanda
The Jumbo Stay Hotel is actually a 1976 Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet that was taken out of service, placed in the Arlanda Airport, Stockholm, redecorated, and transformed into an awesome hotel. The hotel was opened in 2009 and has 33 rooms divided into three types: dorm room, standard room, and suite. The most luxurious suite is the one located in the cockpit that allows the visitor to play with the control buttons. However, be careful when booking here because not all rooms have a private WC and shower.
Having only 5 rooms, the Puntagrande Hotel is located in the Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain, and is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as being Planet Earth’s smallest hotel. All rooms have a spectacular design and are decorated with old wood from shipwrecks and stones, but what is more special is that there is no TV in any room. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy nature and participate in all kinds of sports activities such as cycling, diving, hiking, and walking.

Skylodge Adventure Suites
At the top of the mountain in the Sacred Valley of Cuzco, Peru, you can sleep like a true hiker in one of the three transparent capsules of the Skylodge Adventure Hotel. Each sleeping pod has blinds that can be adjusted and can accommodate up to twelve people. And of course, there is no WIFI. But be careful! Those who have altitude sickness could face problems, in conditions where you have to climb almost 400 mt to the capsule.

Hotel Marques de Riscal, Spain
The Marques de Riscal Hotel is located in one of the famous winemaking regions called Elciego, Spain, and is dedicated to offering a memorable wine experience, luxurious accommodation, and a fine-dining experience.
